Been Busy

Hey y'all! How's it going?
We had a great week.
On Monday we went and visited Egeskov slot. Slot means castle. It was beautiful and really really fun. I have some pictures.
We did a lot of finding this week so that was a lot of fun. We found a lot of new people so hopefully things work out really well for them.
We met with Elizabet before she left for Iceland and we talked a bit more about the book of mormon and hopefully she will read. She will be back from Iceland in 4 weeks.
On Friday it was a Danish holiday called Sankt Hans. It is a holiday where they have a giant bonfire and they used to burn witches.
I gave a talk in church yesterday on the plan of salvation and it went pretty good.
Other than that it was just the usual knocking doors. Wish I had more exciting things but at least I have pictures this week. :)
Stay strong in what you believe in. Work hard and put in the effort. Go the extra mile.
I love you all. Have a really great week!

Hey Mother!!! I don't have a lot of time because we have a big Pday planned!
Haha I think it is longer than you think before you see me again!
I'm happy it makes you happy to hear I'm happy :) :) :)
Anja is still working on it. We didn't meet with her this week and she wasn't in church yesterday so we will see when we meet with her this week.
That will be a fun calling. :)
I want to do a triathlon. It is funny how you can tell the people who have been swimming a lot and the ones who did just enough to survive.
I'm excited to hear about your backpacking trip. I hope it goes well. When are you going? I can't think of anything special about the tent. Maybe try and set it up in the yard before you go so you know how it all works.
The castle was awesome! Denmark doesn't have a ton of castles but this one is a pretty cool one. It is called Egeskov slot.
The talk and musical number went pretty well. I used way too many scriptures though so it was kind of boring. I hope someone got something out of it. I think the members really liked the musical number.
I love you lots mother! You are awesome. I hope you have a great week. By the way mormor means grandma :) I hope you aren't a grandma yet. They use mormor for mother's mother and farmor for father's mother :)

Dear dad,
I'm doing really good. I have had a good week.
Sorry I don't have much time, but it sounds like Helaman's camp was fun. I wish I had more time to tell you how I feel about it, but I don't really have much time. It sounds like it was good though. I hope it inspired a few of the boys to go on a mission that maybe wouldn't have otherwise.
I hope work and school work is going okay.
I will try to send coop a better email this week. I will pray for him. I hope things go better for him. Well I love you dad. Thanks for everything. Have a good week. :)

Hello

Hi everyone! Surprise early email! We are going to a castle for our district activity today so we had to get up early to come get our emails done. I hope you all have had a great week. We have!
We did a ton of finding this week and we found 3 new people to teach! It was awesome. We have a zone goal right now to talk to 15000 people this transfer and it has been going pretty well. We are somewhere around 5000 right now.
We met with Anja and talked about tithing and fast offerings. She thought it was great. She said it won't be easy but that she isn't letting it get between her and the church! She is just awesome! She also came to an eating appointment with a member. She is definitely getting baptized. She is still working on giving up smoking. But she is doing much better.
We played sand volleyball on Saturday and I am terrible but it was really fun. It is a good opportunity to spend some time with members and investigators.
We will be having a missionary meeting in church next week and I get to talk! woohoo! We have also been practicing for a missionary music number that we will be doing for it as well.
Well that's all that I can think of for this week. We have been having a lot of fun and working hard. Recently I have been experiencing a lot of the joys of living right and doing the things I am supposed to. It is easier for the Lord to bless us if we will humble ourselves and recognize the blessings he already gives us. Keep yourselves on the right path and see the joy in obedience and righteousness! Your life will be a lot happier!
Well. That's all for the week. I love you everybody! Have a good week.

Hi Mom! I'm doing good! The mission is super! Life is good!
I'm glad you had a good time at camp! Why did the girl collapse? Was it too cold? I'm glad it got warmer. I hate cold. It sounds like you had a really fun week.
I'm glad you had a good spiritual experience too. That is something I will always remember from my camps is the spirit walks and things like that.
I hope Anja can quit. I know she can, but I hope she never gives up. She is awesome.
I'm glad we saved it with Elizabet'. Hopefully things go well with her.
I have waaaayyyy to many things I want to study. It's hard.
He said he made friends and liked EFY. That's about it though.
I love you too mother dear. Have a super duper good week!

To Dad:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY like 3 hours ago... close enough :)
I am doing well. The weather is getting better. Sometimes. Haha. The coolest thing I saw this week. I dunno. A chokolade trekant. It is a big chocolate triangle pastry that is usually just on sjælland but we found them in a bakery here. :) Anja is still doing great. We have found a few people that might be interested. I haven't ever gotten a referall from a member, but when members refer people they usually get baptised. I like the ward a lot. They love the missionaries and it is easy to find people to bring to lessons. None that have us over all the time, but there are members that have us over regularly.
I really like that how they are split in groups of four. I never really realized that. That is nifty. I also love reading the direct teachings of Christ. Have you heard of David A. Bednars talk Character of Christ? It is a really good talk. You reminded me of it when you said characteristics of Christ.
How are the Holberts doing? Have they still been coming to church? I hope they can be ready in time for your challenges. That would be awesome. That sounds like a really good dinner. We have a tiny charcoal grill we have used a couple times. It is tasty. This week I am going to make some bbq chicken on it. :) mmm.
I have definitely been picking up my game. Time goes by too fast. Sometimes it is hard to do the things I want because there are so many other things to get done as well. I guess as long as I do what I am supposed to it will be okay. I love you dad. Thanks for being a good dad. It's okay that you aren't a perfect dad because I'm not a perfect son. I love you. Have a good week.

Mormons Bog

Hey everyone! We had a good week here and have stayed pretty busy. We have had lessons throughout the week as well as some good finding time.

We also had zone conference and I really liked that. We talked about more things we can work on from Elder Andersens conference. I think the things I have already been working on have made a good impact. Finding is going really well.

Our investigator Anja is still on track for baptism. She is having a hard time giving up smoking, but she really wants to so I know she can.

We also have a great investigator named Elizabet'. We had a lesson with her on Friday. She texted us a couple hours before and said she was out of questions and wasn't sure if it was worth the time to meet anymore because she wanted to stay with the pentecostal church. I texted her back and told her we still had something really important to tell her about the Book of Mormon. She agreed that we could still come and we went and told her about the role of the Book of Mormon and how important it is. We left with her agreeing to give the book of mormon a chance and said she would read. We also set up an appointment for this week.

I wish I had more exciting news but that's about it for the week. I hope you all see the Book of Mormon as important as it is. It is important in our conversion process too. Daily reading is not only helpful, but 100% necessary! Remember it and use it.

Have a great week everyone!

Oh yeah! I also got to see my whole MTC group at the zone conference! Me and all 6 sisters. Sister Player was especially excited to see me because we have served far away for most of the mission.

Hello Mother!!!
I am glad you finally get to go to camp! I am super excited to hear about it. I hope you have a super fun time.
We didn't make a homemade crust we just bought a pie dough thing from the store. But we home cooked the crust :)
I don't know if I will be here when she gets baptised. It's a ways away so I guess we will see.
At least you get a week in the mountains! I don't get to see mountains!!! :)
I think hammocks would be the most fun, but you're right it would be hard with the quilt and tarp and all that.
I'm sure the bike will last. I think most missionaries just start with a not so nice bike or go through a couple really cheap bikes. It also depends on which areas. I have been in two areas that bike more than most other areas.
I'm glad cooper got a job. That will be good for him. Did he drive himself there? It is so crazy how grown up he is.
That is awesome that two from our ward will be in the same mission. What did you say about me? :)
I love you lots and lots and lots!

Yes I got your email about blood and Bro Smuin. I think mine was closer to 5 minutes (blood donation). Beat that! Tell Brother Smuin hi back and that I am still grateful for what I learned from him. I loved that job.

Jylland Zone Conference (from mission blog)

Our Zone Conference in June was a wonderful and long day.  It began early with Ultimate Frizbee.  By noon they were all cleaned up and ready for lunch.  After that , we had a four hour training on what we heard, felt and will apply from the mission conference with Elder Kearon and Elder Andersen.  It was a great day and we were all inspired by what we learned by the spirit.

Where You are Supposed to Be

Hey everyone!
It has been a good week. We were really busy and it was pentacost on Monday so that is why my Pday was moved. Well I will see if I can remember everything.
I got Elder Hamp on Monday and it has been great getting to know him. He is from Logan, Utah and has been here for about 4 months. He is really funny and we get along well.
On Thursday we made an apple pie for a cake night we had at the church. It didn't look very pretty but it tasted delicious.
On Friday we met with our investigator Anja and she said yes to get baptised! We set a date for August 19th so she will be preparing for that day. I am so excited for her and it was really awesome to see the smile on her face and see that she is also excited and so ready.
We played some volleyball with members on Saturday. I was pretty terrible at it and there is still sand in my hair I think, but it was a ton of fun.
We have had some good stuff this week so far but I will save it for next week.
A cool thing that happened this week is that we had a lesson with someone we met recently and went to teach her but she answered and she said she wasn't very interested but she would listen anyways. We taught her and she was like "yeah that's nice but I don't believe that" So we left and the lesson ended up being way shorter than we expected so we stopped by some people in the area. We stopped by a lady who missionaries had found a while back and she let us in. She said she would read in the Book of Mormon and we made a new appointment. We don't know what will come of her but it was still good. Sometimes we wonder why we are where we are or why something didn't go as planned, but the Lord works in ways we don't always understand, and he put us in the right area at the right time to talk to that lady. Always be ready for a change of plans and God will always put you where you are supposed to be.
I hope you all are enjoying summer. Have a good week!

Hey dad,
Things are going really well. It has been a good week. We have been busy. I have been trying to be really diligent at finding people and not wasting any time and it is going great. I like my new companion a lot. He is kind of weird but in a funny, goofy, way. He is a really funny guy and cracks a lot of jokes. We get a long well. His Danish isn't very good so I need to figure out the best way to help him with that. I haven't ever had a companion who hasn't been here as long as me.
Cooper said he got a car, but he didn't say anything else about it. His emails are usually one to two sentences and very vague haha. That sounds like a fun car though. How old is it? Hopefully he doesn't every completely finish off any vehicles like me. No fun.
I ran a couple times this week. But one of the times we ran to a bakery and got pastries. Maybe not the best thing to include with excersize but it tasted great. Haha you say you don't like running but your runs always go longer than planned.
Keep working hard with school. I'm sure it will be worth it.
I don't have any super good stories. We have just been working hard and it has been paying off. We found 3 new investigators this week and we haven't gotten more than 1 for weeks. I haven't gotten more than 1 for a few transfers. So that was good. Sometimes it feels weird that I am halfway done and it doesn't always feel like I have done that much. No one I have taught has gotten baptised yet. I really want to do more and I have been trying really hard to find people and to be a really good teacher. Maybe I need to rely more on God and let the Spirit teach more than me. That is hard sometimes.
Well I love you lots. I hope you have a great week. See ya!

Hi Mother!!!
I am doing pretty swell. And there are always good experiences. We have pday on wednesday because monday was super busy and a holiday so the libraries and grocery stores were closed.
That sounds like a fun hike. I miss the mountains. You are super cool for picking up garbage. :) You are a good citizen.
That is exciting. I hope you have a super duper good time at camp. I am excited to hear about it.
Did you get a fancy small one for backpacking? Are you all gonna sleep in hammocks or bring tents with you?
It has been going okay. My diet always gets wrecked by members, but I buy healthy food. I usually do some sort of exersize.
My comp is a lot of fun. He is goofy and has a lot of jokes. He is from Logan. I think we will learn a lot from each other.
My bike is good. I hate it though. I am always self concious that something will go wrong again and cost a lot of money. I just want to get rid of it.
Life is good. I am super happy and finding a lot of joy in the work. :) Denmark is good. People have been pretty nice.
The study is going well. Slow but really good. I usually just spend some time on it most days and then also read and study other things, but it is my main study project.
I love you tusind gange. I feel them! Can you feel how chubby I am? I hope not. Have a good week.
